أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ قَرَظَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْحَبَشَةُ يَلْعَبُونَ وَأَنَا أَطَّلِعُ مِنْ خَوْخَةٍ لِي فَدَنَا مِنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَوَضَعْتُ يَدَيَّ عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ وَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خُذْنَ بَنَاتِ أَرْفِدَةَ فَمَا زِلْتُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ وَيَزْفِنُونَ حَتَّى كُنْتُ أَنَا الَّتِي انْتَهَيْتُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out while the Abyssinians were playing, and I was peeping through a small opening of mine. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came near me, so I placed my hands on his shoulder and began watching. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take it, daughters of Arfida." I did not stop until they were playing and dancing, and I was the one who ended it.
