أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ كَعْبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ حَدِيثَهُ حِينَ تَخَلَّفَ قَالَ

صَبَّحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَادِمًا وَكَانَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَكَعَ فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ لِلنَّاسِ مُخْتَصَرٌ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in the morning, and when he arrived from a journey, he would go to the mosque, pray two rak'ahs in it, and then sit for the people. [This is] an abridged narration.
