✧ The lining of the imam.

أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا بَعَثَ اللهُ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ وَلَا اسْتَخْلَفَ مِنْ خَلِيفَةٍ إِلَّا كَانَتْ لَهُ بِطَانَتَانِ بِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالْخَيْرِ وَتَحُضُّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَبِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالشَّرِّ وَتَحُضُّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَالْمَعْصُومُ مَنْ عَصَمَ اللهُ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "Allah has not sent any prophet nor appointed any caliph but that he had two close advisers: an adviser who commands him to good and urges him to it, and an adviser who commands him to evil and urges him to it. The protected one is he whom Allah protects."
