✧ Advice for the Imam

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سُهَيْلَ بْنَ أَبِي صَالِحٍ قُلْتُ حَدِيثًا حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِيكَ قَالَ أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الَّذِي حَدَّثَهُ أَبِي حَدَّثَنِيهِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيُّ عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ الدِّينَ النَّصِيحَةُ إِنَّ الدِّينَ النَّصِيحَةُ» قَالُوا لِمَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «لِلَّهِ وَلِكِتَابِهِ وَلِنَبِيِّهِ وَلِأَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَامَّتِهِمْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed the religion is sincere counsel. Indeed the religion is sincere counsel." They said, "To whom, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "To Allah, to His Book, to His Prophet, and to the imams of the Muslims and their common folk."
