أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا مُعَاهَدَةً بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهَا لَمْ يَجِدْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا لَيُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِمِائَةِ عَامٍ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ وَابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ أَثْبَتُ مِنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَثْبُتُ مِنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever kills a mu'ahada soul without its right will not find the scent of Paradise, and its scent is found from a distance of five hundred years' journey." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: This is an error, and the correct version is the hadith of Ibn 'Ulayya. Ibn 'Ulayya is more reliable than Hammad b. Salama, and Allah knows best, and Hammad b. Zayd is more reliable than Hammad b. Salama.
