✧ The sale of the slave.

أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنِ الْهِرْمَاسِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ

«مَدَدْتُ يَدَيَّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ لِيُبَايِعَنِي فَلَمْ يُبَايِعْنِي»

Translation

  3. ʿIkrimah b. ʿAmmār
  4. al-Hirmās b. Ziyād

✧ I stretched out my hands to the Prophet ﷺ while I was a boy, so that he would accept my pledge, but he did not accept my pledge.
