أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بُسْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ السَّعْدِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْمِصْرِيِّ قَالَ

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي نَفَرٍ كُلُّنَا ذُو حَاجَةٍ فَتَقَدَّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَضَى اللهُ لَهُمْ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ ﷺ مَا شَاءَ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا حَاجَتُكَ؟» قُلْتُ سَمِعْتُ رِجَالًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ يَقُولُونَ قَدِ انْقَطَعَتِ الْهِجْرَةُ قَالَ شُعَيْبٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَقَالَ حَاجَتُكَ مِنْ خَيْر حَاجَاتِهِمْ قَالَ «لَا تَنْقَطِعُ الْهِجْرَةُ مَا قُوتِلَ الْكُفَّارُ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَحْمَدَ قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ هَذَا لَا أَعْرِفُهُ

✧ We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among a group, all of us having a need. They went before him and Allah fulfilled for them through the tongue of His Prophet ﷺ what He willed. Then I came to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "What is your need?" I said: I heard men among your companions say that migration has ceased. Shuayb said in his hadith: He said: Your need is among the best of their needs. He said: "Migration will not cease as long as the disbelievers are fought." The wording is that of Ahmad. Abu Abd al-Rahman Muhammad b. Habib said to us: I do not know this.
