أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ وَحَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «نَزَلَ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ فَلَسَعَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ فَأَمَرَ بِرَحْلِهِ فَأُخْرِجَ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا ثُمَّ حَرَّقَ عَلَى النَّمْلِ قَرْيَتَهَا فَأَوْحَى اللهُ إِلَيْهِ فَهَلَّا نَمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً» وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ «فَلَدَغَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ فَأَمَرَ بِجِهَازِهِ فَأَخْرَجَ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُحْرِقَتْ فَأَوْحَى اللهُ إِلَيْهِ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "A prophet among the prophets camped under a tree, and an ant bit him. He ordered his saddle to be moved and taken out from beneath it, then he burned the ant village. Allah revealed to him: 'Why not just one ant?'" Qutaybah said in his narration: "An ant stung him, so he ordered his baggage to be moved and taken out from beneath it, then he ordered it to be burned. Allah revealed to him..."
