أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «دَخَلَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ» فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اقْتُلُوهُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah in the year of the Conquest with a helmet on his head. When he took it off, a man came to him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Kill him.'
