أَخْبَرَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ النَّبَّالُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُسْنُ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ
طَرَقْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةً لِبَعْضِ الْحَاجَةِ فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ مُشْتَمِلٌ عَلَى شَيْءٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغْتُ مِنْ حَاجَتِي قُلْتُ «مَا هَذَا الَّذِي أَنْتَ مُشْتَمِلٌ عَلَيْهِ؟ فَكَشَفَ فَإِذَا الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ عَلَى وَرِكَيْهِ» فَقَالَ «هَذَانِ ابْنَايَ وَابْنَا ابْنَتِي اللهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي أُحِبُّهُمَا فَأَحِبَّهُمَا اللهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي أُحِبُّهُمَا فَأَحِبَّهُمَا»

✧ I knocked on the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night for some need, and he came out wrapped in something I did not know what it was. When I finished my need, I said: "What is this that you are wrapped in?" He uncovered it, and there were al-Hasan and al-Husayn on his hips. He said: "These are my two sons and the sons of my daughter. O Allah, You know that I love them, so love them. O Allah, You know that I love them, so love them."
