✧ The saying of the Prophet ﷺ "Whoever I am his guardian, Ali is also his guardian

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ
زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَلَسْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ؟» قَالُوا بَلَى نَحْنُ نَشْهَدُ لَأَنْتَ أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ قَالَ «فَإِنِّي مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَهَذَا مَوْلَاهُ» أَخَذَ بِيَدِ عَلِيٍّ

✧ Zayd b. Arqam: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, praised and extolled Allah, then said, "Do you not know that I have more authority over every believer than his own self?" They said, "Yes, we bear witness that you have more authority over every believer than his own self." He said, "Indeed, whoever I am his guardian, this is his guardian," and he took Ali by the hand.
