أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَبَشِيُّ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ السَّلُولِيُّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «عَلِيٌّ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ» فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي إِسْحَاقَ «أَيْنَ سَمِعْتَهُ؟» قَالَ وَقَفَ عَلِيٌّ هَاهُنَا فَحَدَّثَنِي رَوَاهُ إِسْرَائِيلُ فَقَالَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ

Translation

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Ali is from me and I am from him." I said to Abu Ishaq, "Where did you hear it?" He said, "Ali stood here and narrated to me." Israil narrated it and said, "From Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara'."
