أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَقَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

طَلَبَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَضُوءًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هَلْ مَعَ أَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ مَاءً؟» فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي الْمَاءِ وَيَقُولُ «تَوَضَّؤُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ» فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَاءَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ حَتَّى تَوَضَّؤُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ قَالَ ثَابِتٌ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ كَمْ تُرَاهُمْ؟ قَالَ نَحْوًا مِنْ سَبْعِينَ

Translation

✧ Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sought water for ablution. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Does any of you have water?” He placed his hand in the water, saying: “Perform ablution in the name of Allah.” I saw water flowing from between his fingers until they all performed ablution, to the last of them. Thabit said: I asked Anas, “How many do you think they were?” He said: “About seventy.”
