أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ عَنِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيِّ عَنِ الْجُعَيْدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهَا
أَنَّ عَلِيًّا خَرَجَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَتَّى جَاءَ ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ يُرِيدُ غَزْوَةَ تَبُوكَ وَعَلِيٌّ يَشْتَكِي وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «أَتُخَلِّفُنِي مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ؟» فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا النُّبُوَّةَ؟»

✧ That 'Ali went out with the Prophet ﷺ until he came to Thaniyyat al-Wada' intending the expedition of Tabuk, while 'Ali was complaining and saying, "Are you leaving me behind with those who stay behind?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you not content that you are to me in the position of Harun to Musa, except for prophethood?"
