أَخْبَرَنِي صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الْمَاجِشُونُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ سَعْدًا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِعَلِيٍّ «أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَا نُبُوَّةَ» قَالَ سَعِيدٌ فَلَمْ أَرْضَ حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ سَعْدًا فَقُلْتُ «شَيْئًا حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ ابْنُكَ عَنْكَ» قَالَ وَمَا هُوَ؟ وَانْتَهَرَنِي فَقُلْتُ أَمَّا عَلَى هَذَا فَلَا فَقَالَ مَا هُوَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي؟ فَقُلْتُ «هَلْ سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ» يَقُولُ لِعَلِيٍّ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَأَشَارَ إِلَى أُذُنَيْهِ وَإِلَّا فَاسَّكَّتَا لَقَدْ سَمِعَتْهُ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ (1) وَمَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ أَحَدًا تَابَعَ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ الْمَاجِشُونِ عَلَى رِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ (2) إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَلَى أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ قَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ خَالَفَهُ يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونِ فَرَوَاهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَتَابَعَهُ عَلَى رِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to 'Ali, "Are you not pleased that you are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophethood?" Sa'id said: I was not satisfied until I came to Sa'd and said, "Something your son narrated to me from you." He said, "And what is it?" and he rebuked me. I said, "If it is like this, then no." He said, "What is it, O son of my brother?" I said, "Did you hear the Prophet ﷺ say to 'Ali such and such?" He said, "Yes," and he pointed to his ears, "or else may they become deaf. I certainly heard him say that." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: (1) I do not know that anyone agreed with 'Abd al-'Aziz b. al-Majishun in his narration from Muhammad b. al-Munkadir, from Sa'id b. al-Musayyab, from (2) Ibrahim b. Sa'd, even though Ibrahim b. Sa'd narrated this hadith from his father. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Yusuf b. al-Majishun contradicted him and narrated it from Muhammad b. al-Munkadir, from Sa'id, from 'Amir b. Sa'd, from his father, and 'Ali b. Zayd b. Jud'an agreed with him in his narration from 'Amir b. Sa'd.
