أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَقْدَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَقْوَامٌ هُمْ أَرَقُّ مِنْكُمْ قُلُوبًا» قَالَ فَقَدِمَ الْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ مِنْهُمْ أَبُو مُوسَى فَلَمَّا دَنَوْا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ جَعَلُوا يَرْتَجِزُونَ غَدًا نَلْقَى الْأَحِبَّةْ مُحَمَّدًا وَحِزْبَهْ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People will come to you who are more tender-hearted than you." He said: The Ash'aris came, among them Abu Musa. When they drew near to Madinah, they began to chant in rajaz: "Tomorrow we shall meet the beloved ones, Muhammad and his party."
