أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّيَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَعُبَيْدُ اللهِ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ عَظِيمٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ» قَالُوا ثُمَّ مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ» قَالُوا ثُمَّ مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ» قَالُوا ثُمَّ مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ» قَالُوا ثُمَّ مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «فِي كُلِّ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ»

✧ I heard Abu Hurayrah while he was in a large gathering of Muslims saying, “Shall I tell you of the best dwellings of the Ansar?” They said, “Yes.” He said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Banu 'Abd al-Ashhal.'” They said, “Then who, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Then Banu al-Najjar.” They said, “Then who, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Then Banu al-Harith b. al-Khazraj.” They said, “Then who, O Messenger of Allah?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Banu Sa'idah.” They said, “Then who, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “In all the dwellings of the Ansar there is good.”
