أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

«لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا لَيْلَةَ بَدْرٍ وَمَا فِينَا إِنْسَانٌ إِلَّا نَائِمٌ إِلَّا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى شَجَرَةٍ وَيَدْعُو حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ»

✧ “I saw us on the night of Badr, and there was not one of us except that he was asleep, except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for he was praying toward a tree and supplicating until morning.”
