أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ

سَأَلَتْنِي أُمِّي مُنْذُ مَتَى عَهْدُكَ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا «مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَنَالَتْ مِنِّي وَسَبَّتْنِي» فَقُلْتُ لَهَا دَعِينِي فَإِنِّي آتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأُصَلِّي مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ وَلَا أَدَعُهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي وَلَكِ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ فَصَلَّى إِلَى الْعِشَاءِ ثُمَّ انْفَتَلَ وَتَبِعْتُهُ فَعَرَضَ لَهُ عَارِضٌ فَأَخَذَهُ وَذَهَبَ فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتِي فَقَالَ «مَنْ هَذَا» فَقُلْتُ حُذَيْفَةُ فَقَالَ «مَا لَكَ» فَحَدَّثْتُهُ بِالْأَمْرِ فَقَالَ «غَفَرَ اللهُ لَكَ وَلِأُمِّكَ أَمَا رَأَيْتَ الْعَارِضَ الَّذِي عَرَضَ لِي قَبْلُ» قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ «هُوَ مَلَكٌ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ لَمْ يَهْبِطْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ قَطُّ قَبْلَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَلَيَّ وَبَشَّرَنِي أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»

✧ My mother asked me: 'How long has it been since you last saw the Prophet ﷺ?' I told her: 'Such and such a time.' She scolded and reviled me. I said to her: 'Leave me, for I will go to the Prophet ﷺ, pray maghrib with him, and not leave until he asks forgiveness for me and for you.' I prayed maghrib with him, and he prayed until 'isha'. Then he finished and I followed him. Someone met him, took him aside, and went off with him. I followed him, and he heard my voice and said: 'Who is this?' I said: 'Hudhayfah.' He said: 'What is the matter?' I told him about the situation. He said: 'May Allah forgive you and your mother. Did you see the one who met me just now?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'He was an angel who had never descended to earth before this night. He asked his Lord's permission to greet me, and he brought me the good news that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the mistress of the women of Paradise.'
