✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I will surely hand over the banner today to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love." The people stretched their necks, and he said: "Where is Ali?" They said: "He is suffering from sore eyes." So he called for him, and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ spat into his palms and wiped them over Ali's eyes, then handed him the banner, and Allah granted him victory that day.
