أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِرَأْيِهِ أَوْ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. ʿAbd al-Aʿlá
  5. Saʿīd b. Jubayr
  6. Ibn ʿAbbās

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever says (something) about the Qur'an without knowledge, then let him take his seat in the Fire." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2950)
