أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَيْلًا فَقَالَ «لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنْ آيَةٍ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَسْقَطْهُنَّ مِنْ سُورَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا»

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father
  4. ʿĀʾishah

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a man reciting in the mosque at night and said: "He has reminded me of such and such a verse which I had forgotten from such and such a surah."
