✧ Prohibition of buying and selling in the mosque and prohibition of socializing in it before Friday prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنِ التَّحَلُّقِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ وَعَنِ الشِّرَاءِ وَالْبَيْعِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ»

Translation

  4. ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb from his father from his grandfather

It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet ﷺ forbade sitting in circles on Friday before Jumu'ah prayer, and buying and selling in the Masjid. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 714)
