✧ The Rewards of the Quran: How is Revelation Sent Down?

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ تَابَعَ الْوَحْيَ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ وَفَاتِهِ حَتَّى تُوُفِّيَ أَكْثَرَ مَا كَانَ الْوَحْيُ يَوْمَ تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Isḥāq b. Manṣūr
  2. Yaʿqūb b. Ibrāhīm from my father
  3. Ṣāliḥ
  4. Ibn Shihāb
  5. Anas b. Mālik

✧ Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, sent revelation continuously to His Messenger ﷺ before his death, until he passed away; the most frequent revelation was on the day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died.
