✧ Seeking refuge from temptation after creation

أَخْبَرَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَكَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ وَالْحَوْرِ بَعْدَ الْكَوْنِ وَدَعْوَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ»

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled, he would say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, the gloom of the return, loss after gain, the supplication of the oppressed, and an evil sight in family and wealth.'
