أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ خَمْسَةٍ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَسُوءِ الْعُمُرِ وَفِتْنَةِ الصَّدْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ

✧ I heard Umar b. al-Khattab say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge from five things: “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from cowardice, miserliness, bad old age, trials of the heart, and the punishment of the grave.”
