✧ Seeking refuge from the overwhelming debt

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ حُيَيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الْعَدُوِّ وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate with these words: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt, the domination of the enemy, and the gloating of enemies.”
