✧ Seeking refuge from an undisturbed heart

أَخْبَرَنِي قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلُفٌ هُوَ ابْنُ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ حَفْصٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَذِهِ الدَّعَوَاتِ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ (١) عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ، (٢) وَقَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ، (٣) وَدُعَاءٍ لَا يُسْمَعُ، (٤) وَنَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ۔» قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْأَرْبَعِ۔»
Translation

that the Prophet ﷺ used to supplicate through these supplications: "O Allah, (1) I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is of no benefit, (2) a heart that is not fearful ˹of You˺, (3) a supplication that is not heard ˹by You˺, and (4) a self that is not satisfied." He said: Then he would say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from these four ˹things˺."
