✧ Mentioning the Virtue of What the Seekers of Refuge Recite

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَدَّادُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ «يَا جَابِرُ اقْرَأْ بِقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ يَا جَابِرُ وَلَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِمِثْلِهِمَا»

Translation

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O Jabir, recite: Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak and Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind. O Jabir, you will never recite anything like them."
