أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

«بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ وَالْأَثَرَةِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى أَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَعَلَى أَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُ كُنَّا»

Translation

  4. ʿUbādah b. al-Walīd b. ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit from his father from his grandfather

✧ I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to hear and obey in hardship and ease, in what we like and what we dislike, and in preference given to others over us, and that we would not dispute authority with its people, and that we would speak the truth wherever we are.
