أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَ يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ وَاصِلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ طَاووُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يدعو إِذَا تَهَجَّدَ من الليل بهذا «اللهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السماوات وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيُّومُ السماوات وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ رَبُّ السماوات وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقُّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ اللهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ أَنْتَ اللهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate when he performed tahajjud at night with this: “O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth, and to You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, and to You belongs all praise. You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. You are the Truth, Your word is truth, Your promise is truth, the meeting with You is true, Paradise is true, the Fire is true, and the Hour is true. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have believed, upon You I have relied, to You I have turned, with You I have disputed, and to You I have referred for judgment. So forgive me for what I have done and what I have delayed, what I have concealed and what I have declared. You are Allah; there is no god but You.”
