أَخْبَرَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَاصِمٍ وَهُوَ عَمْرٌو عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مُرْنِي بِكَلِمَاتٍ أَقُولُهُنَّ إِذَا أَصْبَحْتُ وَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتُ قَالَ قُلِ اللهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ فَقَالَ «قُلْهَا إِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ وَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ وَإِذَا أَخَذَتْ مَضْجَعَكَ»

✧ Abu Bakr asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Command me with words to say when I enter upon the morning and when I enter upon the evening." He said, "Say: O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Lord of all things and their Sovereign, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil of Satan." Then he said, "Say it when you enter upon the morning and when you enter upon the evening and when you take to your bed."
