أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَجَعَلْنَا لَا نَصْعَدُ شَرَفًا وَلَا نَعْلُو شَرَفًا وَلَا نَهْبِطُ وَادِيًا إِلَّا رَفَعْنَا أَصْوَاتَنَا بِالتَّكْبِيرِ فَدَنَا مِنَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَرْبِعُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ فَإِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْعُونَ أَصَمًّا وَلَا غَائِبًا إِنَّمَا تَدَعُونَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا» ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَةً هِيَ مِنْ كُنُوزٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ؟ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ»
Translation

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a military expedition, and we never ascended an elevation, nor did we climb an elevation, nor did we descend into a valley, without raising our voices with takbir. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came near to us and said: “O people, be easy on yourselves, for you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent. You are only calling upon One who is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.” Then he said: “O ‘Abdullah b. Qays, shall I not teach you a word that is from a treasure in Paradise? (It is:) There is no might and no power except with Allah.”
