أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ بِقَدَحَيْنِ مِنْ خَمْرٍ وَلَبَنٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا ثُمَّ أَخَذَ اللَّبَنَ فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ هُدِيتَ لِلْفِطْرَةِ لَوْ أَخَذْتَ الْخَمْرَ غَوْتَ أُمَّتُكَ

Translation

✧ He heard Abu Hurayrah say: On the night he was taken on the Night Journey, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought two cups, one of wine and one of milk. He looked at them and then took the milk. Jibril said: "You have been guided to the fitrah. Had you taken the wine, your nation would have gone astray."
