أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ إِلَى إِيلِيَاءَ بِقَدَحَيْنِ خَمْرٍ وَلَبَنٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا ثُمَّ أَخَذَ اللَّبَنَ فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَاكَ لِلْفِطْرَةِ لَوْ أَخَذْتَ الْخَمْرَ غَوَتْ أُمَّتُكَ

✧ On the night he was taken on the Night Journey to Jerusalem, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought two cups, one of wine and one of milk. He looked at them and then took the milk. Jibril said to him: "Praise be to Allah who has guided you to the fitrah. Had you taken the wine, your nation would have gone astray."
