أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «بَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ رَأَيْتُنِي عَلَى قُلَيْبٍ فَنَزَعْتُ مِنْهَا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ ثُمَّ نَزَعَ ابْنُ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضِعْفٌ وَلْيَغْفِرِ اللهُ لَهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَحَالَتْ غَرْبًا فَلَمْ أَرْ عَبْقَرِيًّا مِنَ النَّاسِ يَنْزِعُ نَزْعَهُ حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "While I was sleeping, I saw myself at a well. I drew from it as much as Allah willed. Then Ibn Abi Quhafah drew a bucket or two buckets, and there was some weakness in his drawing. May Allah forgive him. Then it turned into a large bucket, and I did not see any chief among the people drawing as he drew, until the people had watered their camels and settled them."
