أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ كَأَنِّي أَسْجُدُ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الرُّوحَ لَيَلْقَى الرُّوحَ» وَاقْتَبَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَأْسَهُ هَكَذَا قَالَ عَفَّانُ بِرَأْسِهِ إِلَى خَلْفِهِ فَوَضَعَ جَبْهَتَهُ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

Translation

✧ I saw in a dream as if I was prostrating on the forehead of the Prophet ﷺ. I informed him of that, and he said, "Indeed, the soul meets the soul." The Prophet ﷺ turned his head like this—Affan said: with his head toward his back—so that his forehead was placed on the forehead of the Prophet ﷺ.
