أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كَانَتْ تُعْجِبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ الرُّؤْيَا الْحَسَنَةُ وَيَقُولُ «هَلْ رَأَى أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ رُؤْيَا؟ فَرُبَّمَا رَأَى الرَّجُلُ رُؤْيَا فَيَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ فَإِذَا أُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا كَانَ أَعْجَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلًا صَالِحًا»

Translation

✧ The good dream used to please the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would say, "Has any of you seen a dream? For perhaps a man sees a dream and is asked about it, and if he is praised for good, it would be more pleasing to him that he be a righteous man."
