✧ The cooling time for the fever with water.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ قَالَتْ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي نِسَاءٍ فَإِذَا سِقَاءٌ مُعَلَّقٌ يَقْطُرُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ لِلْحُمَّى فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا تَدْعُو اللهَ أَنْ يَكْشِفَ عَنْكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ بَلَاءً الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ»

✧ I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among some women, and there was a hanging water-skin dripping water on him for fever. I said, “O Messenger of Allah, will you not supplicate to Allah to remove it from you?” He said, “The most severely tried people are the prophets, then those closest to them, then those closest to them, then those closest to them.”
