أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ دَاوُدَ الطَّائِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُرِّ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ مِنْ بَنِي فَزَارَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَإِذَا حَجَّامٌ يَحْجُمُهُ بِمَحَاجِمَ لَهُ مِنْ قُرُونٍ فَشَرَطَهُ بِشَفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «هَذَا الْحَجْمُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَى بِهِ النَّاسُ»

✧ A Bedouin from Banū Fazārah entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while a cupper was cupping him with horns and had made an incision with a blade. He said: "What is this, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "This is cupping, and it is the best of what people treat themselves with."
