أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ قَالَ

صَنَعَتْ أُمِّي مَرَقَةً فَأَهْرَاقَتْ عَلَى يَدِي فَذَهَبَتْ بِي أُمِّي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ كَلَامًا لَمْ أَحْفَظْهُ فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنْهُ فِي إِمْرَةِ عُثْمَانَ مَا قَالَ؟ قَالَتْ قَالَ «أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي»

✧ My mother made some broth and it spilled on my hand, so she took me to the Prophet ﷺ. He said some words that I did not memorize. Later, during the caliphate of ‘Uthman, I asked her what he had said. She said he said: “Remove the affliction, Lord of the people, and heal; You are the Healer.”
