✧ We returned from the Prophet ﷺ and came to a tribe of the Arabs. They said: “Do you have any medicine or ruqyah? For we have a madman in chains.” They brought a madman in chains, and I recited over him the Fatihat al-Kitab for three days, morning and evening, gathering my saliva and then spitting. He became as if he had been released from a bond. They gave me a fee, but I said: “No.” They said: “Ask the Prophet ﷺ.” So I asked him, and he said: “Eat, for by my life, whoever eats by a false ruqyah, you have eaten by a true ruqyah.”
