أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «دَرَأَ عَنِ الْمُنْتَهِبِ وَالْمُخْتَلِسِ وَالْخَائِنِ الْقَطْعَ» قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَا عَمِلَ شَيْئًا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عِنْدَنَا وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ warded off amputation from the plunderer, the snatcher, and the betrayer. Abu Abd al-Rahman said to us: Ibn Jurayj did nothing—he did not hear it from Abu al-Zubayr according to us, and God knows best.
