أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْعَرْزَمِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ

أَدْنَى مَا يُقْطَعُ فِيهِ ثَمَنُ الْمِجَنِّ «وَثَمَنُ الْمِجَنِّ عَشَرَةُ دَرَاهِمَ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَيْمَنُ الَّذِي تَقَدَّمَ ذِكْرُنَا لِحَدِيثِهِ قَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ عَطَاءٌ حَدِيثًا آخَرَ وَلَا أَحْسَبُ أَنَّ لَهُ صُحْبَةً وَالْحَدِيثُ الْآخَرُ

Translation

✧ The minimum for which cutting is done is the price of a shield, and the price of a shield is ten dirhams. Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: Ayman, whose ḥadīth we mentioned earlier, ʿAṭāʾ narrated another ḥadīth from him, and I do not think he had companionship. And the other ḥadīth:
