أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

«لَا يَزْنِي الزَّانِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَذَكَرَ رَابِعَةً فَنَسِيتُهَا فَإِذَا فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ خَلَعَ رِبْقَةَ الْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ فَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ The fornicator does not fornicate while he is a believer, nor does the thief steal while he is a believer, nor does one drink wine while he is a believer—and he mentioned a fourth but I forgot it. When he does that, he casts off the bond of Islam from his neck; if he repents, Allah will accept his repentance.
