أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَبَلَةَ الرَّافِقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

مَرِضَ رَجُلٌ حَتَّى عَادَ جِلْدًا عَلَى عَظْمٍ فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ جَارِيَةٌ تَعُودُهُ فَوَقَعَ عَلَيْهَا فَضَاقَ صَدْرًا بِخَطِيئَتِهِ فَقَالَ لِقَوْمٍ يَعُودُونَهُ سَلُوا لِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِنِّي قَدْ وَقَعْتُ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ حَرَامًا فَلْيُقِمْ عَلَيَّ الْحَدَّ وَلْيُطَهِّرْنِي فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالُوا لَوْ حُمِلَ إِلَيْكَ لَتَفَسَّخَتْ عِظَامُهُ وَلَوْ ضُرِبَ لَمَاتَ قَالَ «خُذُوا مِائَةَ شَمْرُوخٍ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِهِ ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً»

✧ A man fell ill until he became skin over bone. A slave girl entered to visit him, and he had intercourse with her. He felt distress in his chest because of his sin, and he said to people who were visiting him: Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for me, for I have had unlawful intercourse with a woman. Let him establish the punishment on me and purify me. They mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then they said: If he were carried to you, his bones would disintegrate, and if he were flogged, he would die. He said: "Take a hundred palm stalks and strike him with them once."
