✧ The punishment for the unmarried adulterer

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَكَانَ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا زَنَتِ الْأَمَةُ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ بِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ ضَعِيفٌ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُهُ أَضْعَفُ مِنْهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If a slave woman commits adultery, flog her; then if she commits adultery, flog her; then if she commits adultery, flog her; then sell her, even for a hair rope." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abu Uways is weak, and his son Isma'il is weaker than him.
