✧ The punishment for the unmarried adulterer

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يَأْمُرُ فِيمَنْ لَمْ يُحْصَنْ بِجَلْدِ مِائَةٍ وَتَغْرِيبِ عَامٍ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanding that one who has not been married be flogged one hundred lashes and banished for a year.
