أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ قَالَ «أَلَا وَإِنَّ قَتِيلَ الْخَطَأِ شِبْهِ الْعَمْدِ قَتِيلَ السَّوْطِ وَالْعَصَا فِيهِ مِائَةٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعُونَ» يَعْنِي فِي بُطُونِهَا أَوْلَادُهَا
Translation

✧ That a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated to him that when the Prophet ﷺ came to Makkah in the year of the conquest, he said: “Indeed, the unintentional killing resembling intentional—the killing by whip and stick—carries one hundred camels, of which forty,” meaning pregnant with their young.
