أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ
«مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي عِمِّيَّةٍ أَوْ رِمِّيَّةٍ بِحَجَرٍ أَوْ بِسَوْطٍ أَوْ بِعَصًا فَعَلَيْهِ عَقْلُ الْخَطَأِ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ عَمْدًا فَهُوَ قَوَدٌ وَمَنْ حَالَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةٌ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ صَرْفٌ وَلَا عَدْلٌ»

✧ Whoever is killed in a blind melee or by a stray shot with a stone, a whip, or a stick, upon him is the blood money for accidental killing. Whoever is killed deliberately, it is retaliation. Whoever comes between him and that, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people together; neither an optional nor an obligatory act will be accepted from him.
